BW GasAlertMicroClip XL - Top 5 Things You Need to Know
In this guide, we'll cover the Top 5 Things you need to know about the spec, features and key benefits of BW's GasAlertMicroClip XL. Click here to see it on our site.
#1- IT WILL SIMULTANEOUSLY MONITOR UP TO 4 GASES
The MicroClip XL includes sensors for LEL, oxygen, hydrogen sulphide and carbon monoxide. As a multi-gas detector, the BW MicroClip XL will continuously monitor these gases in hazardous environments and show real-time gas concentrations on the large LCD screen.
The measuring ranges are as follows:
- LEL - 0-100% LEL (0.5.0% v/v)
- H2S - 0-100 ppm
- CO - 0-500 ppm
- O2 - 0-30.0%
#2- IT HAS AN EXTENSIVE BATTERY LIFE
The MicroClip XL has a battery which lasts up to 18 hours in normal conditions. This will guarantee the unit will be available for at least a 12-hour shift. The battery will also take less than 6 hours to recharge. It's worth noting that in cold conditions the battery will offer around 12 hours run-time temperatures of 4°F/-20°C after 2 years of use, which is very respectable.
#3- INCREASED IP PROTECTION
The MicroClip XL is IP68 protected. This rating means the monitor has a tough in-built, concussion-proof boot which protects against dust and is water resistant up to 45 minutes at a depth of 1.2m. In addition to being tough, it's also light and compact so it can be worn unnoticed and won’t get in the way of any jobs.
#4- HIGHLY VISIBLE
BW’s MicroClip XL is highly visible, in more ways than one. In addition to its bright yellow housing, it also has three different types of alarms.
These include the visual flashing alarm, a vibrating alarm and a loud audible alarm. These will all alert the user should the level of gases present become unsafe.
#5- THERE’S A CHOICE OF ACCESSORIES AVAILABLE
In addition to the calibration and bump test stations, there are also protective boots, IR connectivity kits and multi-unit chargers available. You can also convert your unit to a pumped model with the manual aspirator pump kit.
