A Buyer's Guide to the Drager Alcotest 6820
The Drager Alcotest 6820 is a handheld alcohol analyser.
It's used in professional and industrial applications such as law enforcement, construction and transport. It's especially effective for testing individuals who may operate heavy machinery or vehicles. The Drager Alcotest 6820 has a rating of IP54 which means the unit is highly resistant to tough weather conditions.
What's Included with the Drager Alcotest 6820?

Around 1500 breath tests can be conducted using the batteries provided in the unit. Mouthpieces are packaged individually to ensure that high hygiene are met. Each test subject will require a brand new mouthpiece. The Alcotest 6820 has an easy-to-read LCD screen. Taking a measurement couldn’t be simpler, just attach the mouthpiece and blow into the device.
The Drager breathalyser will analyse the breath sample and will show the results on the screen. For technical information please refer to the user manual. This also includes troubleshooting information.
The device has an easy-to-follow menu which can be accessed with only a few button pushes. Information in the menu will include calibration dates and test results.
The Drager Alcotest 6820 is available to buy on the Frontline Safety website. There's a range of mouthpieces and other accessories available to purchase. This includes the standard version of the mouthpieces and the Slide'n'Click versions. Mouthpieces come in packs of 100, 250 and 1000 pieces.
