Before donning the mask you must secure your filters. Ensure the filters are lined up with the marks on the mask and insert them until they lock into place. Turn the filter according to the arrow shown on the mask and screw each one downwards until you feel them stop.

Now you can put your X-plore mask on. Follow these steps to ensure it's properly fitted:

  • Pull the buckles on the head strap up to the end of the strap.
  • Pull the bottom straps down until the buckles of the head strap are against the facepiece.
  • Draw the bottom straps over your head
  • Place the facepiece over your nose and mouth and place the head straps over the back of your head with the straps above your ears.
  • Pull the ends of the straps to ensure the mask sits lightly against your face

Our tutorial video shows you these steps in action, watch it here.

Now you're able to tighten the top and bottom straps uniformly and ensure the mask rests tightly and comfortable on your face.

There are a few additional checks you can make to ensure the mask is leak proof.

TESTING THE DRAGER X-PLORE 3300 MASK

Either cover both filters with your hands and breathe in until you feel negative pressure.  If you hold your breath the negative pressure should be maintained. Alternatively, you can seal the valve of the half mask and breathe out firmly. Your half mask must not lift off your face.

Remember to always ensure your mask is properly fitted before entering a hazardous environment.  Face masks are not suitable for those with facial hair as it prevents a seal from being created around the face.
