Noise Monitoring

Noise monitoring challenge for Brighton and Hove Albion after new complex approved

Noise monitoring range
from Casella

Noise monitoring equipment may be required at the site of
Brighton and Hove Albion's proposed new training complex
after it was revealed that some of the main concerns in the
planning process included traffic, light and noise pollution.

The plans have now been approved and the Championship
club can now look forward to starting work on the Lancing
facility, which will include 11 outdoor pitches - two of which
will be floodlit.

Gus Poyet's side will also have access to a half-sized indoor
pitch, changing rooms, medical, office, leisure and catering facilities and a fully-equipped gym.

Adur District Council gave planning permission for the Monk's Farm project earlier this week (October 1st) and club director Martin Perry explained it would provide a boost to the local economy, with 76 jobs being created.

"This is a massive decision for Brighton and Hove Albion and the Adur community. We are now looking forward to delivering the project for Gus and the team," he said.

"We are looking forward to becoming part of the Adur community and we will be announcing the contractor soon. We aim to have the complex ready for use by the early part of 2014."

Whoever the contractor is for the £29 million site the company will need to be aware of potential noise pollution issues raised by local people during the planning discussions and noise monitoring equipment may be necessary.

Frontline Safety offer a range of noise monitoring equipment from Casella including dosimetershandheld meters and various accessories.  Visit our website for more information on these products.

Brighton's new Amex Stadium is located approximately 12 miles east of the Mash Barn Lane site and the facilities should provide a strong base for the Seagulls as they attempt to cement their place in England's second tier and even make a push for the Premiership in the coming years.
