ETI 6102 Therma-Hygrometer

ETI 6102 Therma-Hygrometer

ETI 6102 Therma-Hygrometer

The 6102 therma-hygrometer from ETI is an easy to use relative humidity and air temperature measuring meter with a clear LCD display.  The display shows °C, %rh, max/min, hold and dew point indication.

This particular model of the humidity meter hygrometer from ETI shows both the humidity and temperature at the same time on the backlit display.

With this humidity measuring instrument the units measure %rh over the range of 0  to 100 %rh with a resolution of 0.1 %hrs. and temperature over the range of -20 to 70°C or -20 to 50°C with a fixed probe (with a resolution of 0.1 °C/°F.

Hygrometers express relative humidity as the ratio of the amount of water vapour present in the air or gas to the quantity which would reach saturation (being 100%).

The 6102 hygrometer humidity reader uses an interchangeable probe which incorporates a one-metre lead with a 6-pin Lumberg connector.  The instrument will not require re-calibration if the probe needs to be replaced as the probes are fully interchangeable.

Three 1.5 volt AAA batteries are used to power the ETI hygrometer humidity meter which gives it a minimum life expectancy of 10000 hours.  An advantage of the 6102 therma-hygrometer is the auto-power off facility which turns the meter off automatically after ten minutes have passed.  This will maximise the battery life of the instruments.

Examples of industries which use applications for %rh measurement include pharmaceutical, electronic component production, food processing, livestock, paper mills or computer rooms.

Humidity instrumentation is widely used by the pharmaceutical industry as their products may be sensitive to varying humidity levels.  Climate control in buildings is important as the correct humidity levels mean optimum comfort and energy conservation.  In the paper industry, paper and related products can be highly sensitive to humidity and moisture levels and quality levels need to be maintained.
