The right-angled ribbon surface probe from ETI Ltd is part of a wide range of hand held temperature probes. This particular version has a length of Ø15 x 130mm and is suitable for thermometers and data-loggers with a type K thermocouple.
The ribbon surface probe features flat ribbon technology. This results in minimal heat loss during a fast and accurate response.
It has an impressive response time of less than 0.5 of a second which the time is taken by the sensor to reach 66.6% of the final reading (according to ETI). This is an industry standard of reading measuring probe response time. These results are dependent on the substance being measured so it’s sometimes difficult to reach an accurate response without knowledge of the application.
