ETI Frying Oil Quality Test Strips - box of 100

Use these strips daily or before each fryer use to ensure the oil is of good quality to produce the best-fried produce. These oil testing strips are for use on oil before it is heated; the max oil temperature for these strips is 400°C.

These oil strips work by testing the level of FFS (free fatty acids) - the more of these there are in oil, the higher the AV (acid value). When submerging the test strip for 2 seconds, oil is absorbed, and the fatty acids within the oil react with the reagent in the strips. After 2 minutes, the strip's colour changes based on the mg/KOH/g. To see the results of the oil test strips, the colour on the strip can then be matched with the colour chart (on the rear of the bottle).

Use the results to decide whether the oil is ideal, cautionary or bad to fry your ingredients to a good quality.

How to use -

Test the drying oil by dipping the strip into the oil so the colour band is submerged and held in the oil for 2 seconds. Remove the strip and get results in 2 seconds. Use the colour chart provided on the bottle to compare the results and determine the oil's quality.
